The estate’s forest consists of oaks, chestnuts and Douglas firs.
In the forest, there are marked hiking trails and orientation paths that can provide refreshment during the hot summer days. There are also picnic areas.

4 Private ponds, from 1.2 to 3.5 hectares, are accessible to the camping guests for “no kill” fishing.
You can fish for carp, pike, tench, perch and roach. Discover all the activities organised around fishing at the campsite.
On the large pond, you can enjoy and relax with your family on our 4 to 5-seater pedal boats. Two-person canoes are also available.
Lac du Jaunay and Lac d’Apremont are nearby
With a fishing card, on sale at the campsite reception or at the bar-tabac in the village, you can fish in Lac du Jaunay, 2 km from the campsite.
For the more adventurous who want to go on a real canoe trip, our partner Les Canoës du Marais offers trips on the Jaunayriver. In a protected Natura 2000 site and especially at sunset with a night-time return!
Wakeboard fans can go to Apremont (12km) to board from the Ks Wakepark pontoon.

Castel La Garangeoire, camping in de Vendée, surrounded by farms, offers activities and events in direct relation to nature: land ‘art, outings to discover the fauna and flora, orientation course on the theme of trees and forestanimals …
La Garangeoire is, because our site is protected from light pollution, one of the few campsites in the Vendée which allows astronomy lovers to observe, under excellent conditions, the stars and the many falling stars in summer.

Thanks to our commitment to the environment and the involvement of our customers, we have been awarded an eco-label. This certification rewards the efforts of both the campsite and the vacationers in water and waste management, responsible purchasing and the attention paid to environmental education.
Our wish is to convince all tourists that they can easily become environmentally friendly, without sacrificing comfort, with very simple measures: respect for the sorting system, use of water fountains, participation in reducing the use of packaging, composting, etc… (see the list of our environmental actions here)
