Adventure park “Le Grand Défi”
Whether you’re an adrenaline junkie, outdoor enthusiast or just want fun: in Saint-Julien des Landes, 2 kilometers from the campsite, the adventure park “Le Grand Défi” is waiting for you!

The park has 8 segments of different levels: from “Pitchoun” (child trail for children from 2 years) to mega zip lines passing over ponds.
Several times a week, in July and August, the entertainers organize group outings.

For lovers of motor sports, go to the circuit Mecamax at Ile d’Olonne.
Group outings are regularly organized by our entertainers in high season.
La Box Crossfit LMA : open gym, Crossfit, boxe, personal training
Looking for a nice and original gym or interested in a crossfit or boxing class? Choose La Box Crossfit in la Mothe Achard owned by Pierre-Emmanuel GATTO, professional coach (and French fitness-champion in 2015) who also supervises Crossfit workouts at La Garangeoire, in July and August.
Paintball
The leading paintball site of the Vendée is in Saint Julien des Landes, 2 kilometers from the campsite.
Paintball combines teamwork and is enjoyed by male and females, young (from 6 years old) and old alike.
Several times a week, in July and August, the entertainers organize group outings.
The Lake and Valley of Jaunay
Le Jaunay is a small beautiful coastal river of 45 km long. It runs trough the villages of Saint-Julien-des-Landes, Martinet, Chapelle-Hermier and Beaulieu-sous-la-Roche.
By bicycle
Ideal for the VTT: 5 trails cycling paths through farms or small country roads. Following the route “The Achards à la mer”, you will arrive at the beach “Dunes” in Brétignolles-sur-Mer.

By foot
11 hiking trails along the Valley of Jaunay, plus links! There is a variety of charming landscapes, views overlooking the lake or walks along the water.
Fauna and flora
Discover, on the observatory bridge in Mill rochelles at Chapelle-Hermier, the many species in daylight and nocturnal that live on the lake. There are educational signs to help you discover them.
Surfing
The nearest surf spots are “La Sauzaie” and “Les Dunes” in Brétignolles-sur-Mer, at 12 kilometers from La Garangeoire.
La Sauzaie was discovered in the 80s and now a world famous spot, with some nice hazards (shallow waters, reef and rocks). At half tide and high tide you can take some hollow and powerful waves with lefts and rights.

At the Sauzaie, the waves are regularly between 1 and 2 meters high, they allow surfers to perform the whole range of possible figures within 20m of the coast.
Since 2001, the best surfers on the planet are coming to la Sauzaie during surfing championships le Vendée Surf Pro, which became Le Protest Vendee Pro in 2009. This event is the third French event in its importance.
La Sauzaie is only for advanced surfers! For your security, have a look at the reef at low tide because it is a spot with shallow waters.
